RECT is an endeavour of the Sacred Heart Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The CMIs draw inspiration from their founding father, the Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara, and are renowned as pioneers of education, having established institutions of excellence imparting quality education, across the length and breadth of the state and in various parts of India and abroad.

IGNOU is a national open university in India offering programmes in the distance education and face to face mode. This unique M.Tech programme between RECT and IGNOU is in regular face to face mode and final masters degree in technology will be awarded by IGNOU. ABOUT THE FACE TO FACE M.TECH PROGRAMME
RAJAGIRI EDUCATIONAL CHARITABLE TRUST (RECT) and INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY (IGNOU) jointly announces
M.Tech Programme in
   1.Embedded System Design
   2.Information Systems Security
The programme is organized into two years. However it is flexible enough and those who cannot take the full load of the course, may take lesser number of credits/course and complete the course in more than two years. One has to complete the course in a maximum time of five years. Every semester, one has to take at least six credits other than the project. A certificate for the particular course will be issued after successful completion of the course.
 
Campus
The campus is located in the Rajagiri Valley, a sprawling 90-acre estate on the banks of the river Chitrapuzha. It is 0.5 km from the Seaport - Airport highway, 3 km from the Kakkanad civil Station, 13 km from Ernakulam North Railway Station, and 27 km from the Nedumbassery International Airport.
 
Class Timings
Classes will be organised from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm on week days, and on Saturdays with well furnished training facility within the centre to groom competent professionals.
